Simcat™ - Satellite Imagery Catalog

Simcat™ is a web-tool for searching images acquired by ESA and Radarsat with a simple and quick interface.

The tool is made from two main parts:

a web interface used to set search parameters
a network link on GoogleEarth used to browse the catalog

Here there are two screenshot that shows the two components.

This image shows the page with the console to set filters: you can choose satellite, platform, direction (asce/desce), orbit parameters (if applicable), time range, minimum number of scenes and size of the search extent.

This Google Earth screenshot shows how you will see the search results. Here you can see a search about Radarsat S3, note the number of scenes available at the center of the swath.

Whit Simcat™ you can see how many images cover a precise place and which are these images (with times, orbit, quality parameters - if available).

Acquisition scenes are drawn in different colors depending how many images are available: red - less than 20, yellow - from 20 to 30, green - more than 30.
